This wing badge was issued to an Eastern Air Lines supervisor in booth operations, a ground-side supervisory post, and it displays the airline's stylized falcon logo from the "hockey stick" era that began in the mid-1960s. A raised title bar reading "SUPERVISOR BOOTH OPERATIONS" in recessed blue enamel letters sits above a swept, multi-feather wing with a sand-textured gold-tone finish. At the center, a beaded medallion frames the oval Eastern logo in dark blue and white enamel. The reverse has two straight pins and a center screw post with a hex nut, and no maker's mark shows. The blue enamel letters are intact, and the logo enamel is sound with slight clouding in the blue field. Width of approximately 2.5 inches. The gilt shows light, even wear, and the reverse has mild toning with a few small spots of oxidation. Job-title wings for ground-side roles like this were made in limited numbers and are much harder to find than pilot or flight attendant wings.
