Framed and matted print featuring a classic still life arrangement of flowers, fruit, and an urn. The lower margin is inscribed with 'Van Huysum pinx' and 'Richd. Earlom sculp 1781'. Housed in a molded gold-tone frame with matting.
After years in the antiques trade, JB Sexson is retiring, and the inventory and personal pieces he's gathered are now heading to auction. It's a dealer's collection in the best sense: pattern glass and salt-glaze stoneware, vintage cameras and toy trains, 19th-century books and framed engravings, all chosen by someone who knew what was worth picking up.
His personal pieces show a lifelong love of horses. Signed bronzes of Arabian horses, a 2003 U.S. National Champion trophy, boxed Breyer models, and framed equine art run all through the sale. Rounding it out are quality consignments, including a 38-star medallion flag, U.S. proof sets, and Navy optics.
