For five decades, Sammy Swindell has defined the raw power, ingenuity, and fearless spirit of American sprint car racing. Built by the legendary craftsman at Schnee-Lawson Chassis, this machine was custom-engineered for Swindell’s landmark 50th Anniversary run at the iconic Knoxville Nationals.
Driven by one of the greatest legends in World of Outlaws history, this vehicle carried the weight of racing heritage onto the track. After an intense, high-speed rollover on track, the car was retired. Rather than sitting forgotten in a shop, this machine is offered to the public in a custom, three-tier auction structure. This rare vehicle represents an unprecedented opportunity for both serious racing collectors and active sprint car teams.
How This Auction Works:
This historic Sammy Swindell Schnee-Lawson Sprint Car is offered in three distinct build configurations (Lots 1, 2, and 3). Please note that these lots represent the same physical vehicle. At the conclusion of the auction, the seller will review the highest bids across all three build tiers and select the final winning bid. The overall winner will be officially awarded their chosen custom build within 24 hours of the auction's close.
- Option 1 – As-Is Frame, Chassis & Wing
- Option 2 – Schnee-Lawson Rolling Chassis
- Option 3 – Turn-Key "Race-Ready" Sprint Car
About the Legend:
Sammy Swindell Samuel Alan "Slammin' Sammy" Swindell is widely regarded as one of the most talented and innovative driver/setup minds in dirt track history. A three-time World of Outlaws Champion (1981, 1982 driving the famous Nance Speed Equipment #1n house car, and 1997 in his own Channel Lock #1) with 394 WoO A-main victories, Swindell's versatile career spans sprint cars, CART/Champ Car, NASCAR (Winston Cup, Busch, and Craftsman Truck Series), and an attempt at the 1987 Indianapolis 500. Known for taking off the wings to win the 1981 Pacific Coast Nationals at Ascot and winning five prestigious Chili Bowl Midget Nationals titles, Swindell's relentless drive and technical setup mastery make his race cars among the most coveted collectibles in motorsports history.
Terms of Sale – Multi-Lot Contingency:
"Bidders acknowledge that Lots 1, 2, and 3 represent a single physical asset offered in varying states of assembly. Securing the highest bid on a single lot does not guarantee the purchase of the vehicle. The seller retains the exclusive, absolute right to accept the most favorable high bid from among the three lots. Final seller acceptance and winner notification will occur within 24 hours of the auction’s closing time. If your lot is selected, you will be bound to the terms and timeline of that specific build."
