704 E. Main Street, Greensburg, Indiana — Victorian Home with Residential and Professional Office Potential
An impressive Victorian-style property offering over 3,800 square feet of living space, 4 bedrooms and 2½ baths in a prominent Main Street location in Greensburg. The home combines substantial historic character with a flexible floor plan that lends itself to a variety of potential uses.
The property was previously used as both a private residence and professional attorney’s office, with office space located on the main floor. That history makes the layout especially well suited for buyers considering a live/work arrangement, professional office use, or continued residential occupancy, subject to applicable zoning and governmental approvals.
The interior features generously sized rooms, hardwood flooring, high ceilings, three fireplaces, a formal dining room, wet bar/kitchenette, second-floor laundry and numerous architectural details throughout. The main level provides multiple rooms suitable for living, entertaining, bedrooms or office space, while the upper level offers additional bedrooms and flexible living areas.
The property also includes a detached two-car garage, basement, public utilities and an approximately 0.20-acre lot. Updates reported in the MLS include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, windows, flooring, lighting and interior finishes.
With its size, location and proven history of mixed residential and professional use, the property presents an opportunity for an impressive private residence, professional office, live/work property, short-term rental or other investment use, subject to applicable zoning and governmental approvals.

Built in 1900 on a corner lot in the heart of Greensburg, this 3,800-square-foot Victorian has carried a century of Main Street life — and it’s configured to carry a great deal more. Four bedrooms, two and a half baths, three fireplaces, and a run of formal rooms sit alongside a genuinely flexible layout: a second-floor kitchenette and laundry, a wide corner lot, and the kind of scale that supports uses well beyond a single household.
Professional offices, a salon or wellness studio, a short-term rental, a live/work arrangement, or simply a distinctive family home — the floor plan can go several directions, subject to Greensburg’s zoning approval. What it won’t do is show up again soon: houses like this don’t come up for auction often in Decatur County.
Bring your vision.
