Embark on a grand excursion across continents with this extensive collection of road maps and travel guides, formerly held within the library of Robert R. Bodenhamer. Spanning winding European alpine passes, sun-drenched Italian islands, and sprawling American national parks, these folded paper navigators hold the silent stories of countless planned adventures and forgotten detours. The assembly features renowned cartographic publishers including Rand McNally, AAA, Michelin, Universal Map, and Freytag and Berndt.
Condition reports indicate varying degrees of shelf wear, edge creasing, and minor fold separations typical of active road use and archival storage. Many retain their original vibrant cover imagery and crisp interior cartography, offering a tactile glimpse into pre-digital route planning. Whether plotting a scenic drive through the Blue Ridge Parkway or navigating the intricacies of European capitals, this comprehensive lot serves as a magnificent tribute to the romance of the open road.
