This is a marvelous piece of mid-century corporate and transit history within this splendid collection of six drinking glasses. Adorned with vibrant green and crisp white graphics celebrating the Southern Railway, these vessels feature iconic imagery including locomotive number 4258, southern plantation architecture, and the distinctive slogan Look Ahead Look South accompanied by the classic SR logo. Each heavy-bottomed glass is finished with a delicate metallic gold rim, speaking to an era of stylish railway dining cars and promotional hospitality. The glass bodies remain exceptionally clear, showcasing the detailed wrap-around transfer prints with sharp registration and vivid coloration. Minimal surface wear is present on the metallic rims, consistent with careful preservation over decades, adding an authentic touch of character to this charming set.
