The PROMECH FW80 Fifth Wheel Wrecker Attachment is a self-contained, electric-hydraulic boom system designed to quickly convert a standard commercial semi-truck tractor into a heavy-duty tow vehicle. By dropping its integrated 2-inch (50mm) kingpin directly into the tractor’s existing fifth wheel plate and securing the frame, operators can tow disabled semi-trucks, box trucks, or hotshot trailers without investing in a dedicated wrecker. Maximum Lifting Capacity: 70 kN (approximately 15,700 lbs of structural lift force). Power Supply: Onboard, self-contained 12V / 80Ah battery system. It runs its own motorized hydraulic pump, eliminating the need to tap into the host tractor’s wet kit or auxiliary hydraulic lines. Boom Stroke Distance: 37 inches of hydraulic vertical travel. Towbar & Hitch Capacity: Equipped with a 2-5/16 inch ball hitch rated for a towing capacity of 12,000 lbs. Rigging Points: Built with four integrated bullhorn hooks (1/2-inch steel) for securing heavy-duty transport chains around the casualty vehicle’s front axle or crossmembers. Safety Lighting: Pre-wired with an industrial 10-piece LED light package for rear signals and nighttime visibility.
