A set of two nesting mixing bowls featuring a cream-colored glazed body with a blue spongeware-style decorative band at the rim. The exterior of the bowls displays a molded wheat or grain stalk motif. The bowls are constructed of heavy-weight ceramic stoneware. The interior surfaces show evidence of surface wear and crazing consistent with use. The items are common household kitchenware. The white bowl did show signs of some cracking.
