IMPORTANT! Auction Closing & Bidding
Lawson Co. auctions are timed events and all bidding closes at the specified time. Our auctions use an auto-extend feature: if a bid is placed near a lot's scheduled close, the close time automatically extends so other bidders have a fair chance to respond. Auto-extend stays active until no further bids are received within the current extension window. Please monitor the countdown timer to see when a lot will close. Extension times may be adjusted at the auctioneer's discretion.
Items are sold in groups of like-kind or similarly priced lots. All items within a group close at the same time. Each lot on the bidding page shows a link symbol indicating which group it belongs to. This lets you watch and bid on multiple items in a group without missing your chance to bid.
If any one item in a group receives a bid, every item in that group extends. Extension times shorten as the closing process continues:
- First 30 minutes: 5-minute extension
- Next 30 minutes: 3-minute extension
- Next 30 minutes: 2-minute extension
- After that: 1-minute extension, and it stays at 1 minute until all items close
