This Eastern Air Lines wing is personalized with a raised name bar reading "SAM JONES" in red lettering, and it measures about 2⅜" wide by ¾" tall. Its bronze-tone finish has darker antiqued recesses, and five tiers of swept feathers spread from a rayed medallion holding the airline's oval "hockey stick" falcon logo in cream-white enamel on a bright red field. The name bar sits over a small ribbon scroll above the wings. The reverse is stamped "CS-46436," and it has two straight posts and a center threaded post with a hex nut. Traces of red fibers cling to both posts, and fine scratches and a few dark smudges mark the back. The red enamel is glossy and largely intact, with light surface marks, and the bronze finish shows even, honest wear. Name-personalized Eastern wings tie the badge to one individual, and the red enamel is a more unusual color than the standard blue.
