This gold-filled wing pin carries genuine named provenance, with "MR. R. TORO" spelled out across the raised ribbon banner atop full-span, feather-detailed wings — personally issued to an identifiable Eastern Air Lines employee rather than unissued stock jewelry. At center sits the airline's later streamlined "L" winglet logo in blue enamel within a beaded circular border. The reverse carries Balfour's shield-form maker's mark with a "1/10 10KGF" quality stamp, confirming gold-filled construction and tying the piece to the same manufacturer behind many of Eastern's employee wing pins. The gilt finish shows attractive, even wear with light surface scratching to the banner and wings, and the enamel on the center logo remains bright and intact. The reverse retains dual pin-back posts along with a functional slotted screw fastener, all original hardware present.
