This silver-toned wing pin marks a specific job function rather than flight status — a raised ribbon banner reading "LEAD" spans the top, identifying it as a maintenance or ground-operations department pin rather than a pilot or crew wing. At the center sits Eastern's iconic hockey stick. Construction is one-piece stamped metal throughout, with the wings, banner, and center logo all rendered in a uniform brushed silver finish rather than mixed metals or enamel. The surface shows light, even wear consistent with genuine use, with the lettering and wing detail still crisp and legible. The reverse retains dual pin-back posts, both intact, though the clutch backs are no longer present. A distinctive piece documenting a specific shop-floor role within Eastern's workforce, less commonly seen than standard flight-crew wings.
