This tie bar suspends Eastern Air Lines' red falcon-in-flight emblem from a pair of fine link chains attached to a spring-clip bar, the classic accessory style worn by Eastern pilots and crew members in the 1940s to display the airline's branding off the uniform lapel. The falcon is rendered in bright red enamel with silver detailing along the wing and tail feathers, matching the same bird motif used across Eastern's cap badges and wing pins of the era. The enamel remains vivid with only light surface wear, while the silver-tone bar and chains have taken on a warm, even patina consistent with genuine age. The spring clip opens and closes, and both chain connections to the falcon charm remain secure. A well-preserved example of Eastern's mid-century employee jewelry, distinctive for its dangling, wearable format rather than a fixed pin.
