This full-wing pin carries Eastern Air Lines' complete script identity — "EASTERN" and "Air Lines" spelled out across raised, straight-edged wings flanking a round enamel disc, itself bearing the same red falcon-in-flight motif over a two-tone blue sky seen on Eastern's mid-century pins and cap badges. The reverse is stamped "STERLING," confirming solid silver construction consistent with wing pins issued to Eastern employees in the 1940s rather than later stamped-brass novelty items. The silver has toned to a warm, mottled patina with scattered darker oxidation across both wings, while the enamel disc remains bright with its color fields intact. The reverse retains a single mounting point rather than a full pin-back assembly, with the original hardware no longer present. A solid-silver example of Eastern's classic wing design, distinguished from typical stock pieces by its sterling construction.
