This is a single wing, rendered in high-relief repoussé feather detail from base to tip, in warm yellow gold-filled metal. The reverse is marked "1/20–10K," the standard quality stamp for gold-filled jewelry indicating a 10-karat gold layer bonded over a base metal core, a common and durable construction for mid-century pins meant for daily wear. Unusually, the reverse carries two different fastener types side by side — a pin-and-catch on one end and a threaded screw-post on the other. The gold surface shows attractive, even wear to the raised feather ridges with the deeper recesses retaining a darker patina, giving the piece good dimensional contrast. It's a well-modeled example of the wing motif on its own.
