This Cuban Air Force pilot's wing badge carries genuine named provenance, engraved in flowing script on the reverse: "Tte. Jesús García" — "Tte." being the standard Spanish abbreviation for Teniente (Lieutenant), identifying this badge as personally issued to a named Cuban Air Force officer. The front displays the traditional Cuban coat-of-arms shield in enamel — the sunrise over the horizon, the key motif, diagonal blue-and-white striped field, and a royal palm rising from the landscape — flanked by full-span feathered wings in a silver-and-gilt two-tone finish. The metal shows genuine age with scattered dark oxidation spots on the reverse and light overall wear to the gilt highlights, while the enamel on the shield remains bright and largely intact. Named military wings like this carry meaningfully more collector interest than unissued stock pieces, since they tie the badge directly to an identifiable individual's service record.
