This is a shield-form insignia patch bearing the crossed-rifles device associated with the Milicias Nacionales Revolucionarias (National Revolutionary Militia, MNR) — the Cuban citizens' militia founded in 1959 in the aftermath of the revolution, organized under the command of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) to defend against sabotage and counter-revolutionary activity. The khaki/olive shield carries the crossed rifles printed diagonally across the field, with the letters "M," "N," and "R" arranged around the crossing point — the branch/organization initials rendered as a stylized shield device rather than a straight left-to-right inscription. The plastic has a printed slot at top for hanging or ribbon display, along with visible aging, handling wear, and light staining to the plastic consistent with genuine period issue. The patch fabric shows a woven twill texture with the design stenciled or printed on rather than embroidered, remaining in stable, presentable condition. A scarce piece of early Cuban revolutionary-era militia insignia.
