This small enameled badge reads "REPÚBLICA DE CUBA" arched across the top and "LEALTAD AL SERVICIO" ("Loyalty to Service") along the bottom, framing the Cuban coat of arms shield and laurel wreath at center within a bright green enamel border. The motto suggests this was a service or civil-employee loyalty/tenure badge issued by the Cuban government, likely worn by public sector or municipal staff to denote years of faithful service rather than a specific department or agency title. The center shield, rendered in dark relief, carries the familiar sunrise-over-key and palm-landscape motifs of the national arms. The green enamel shows genuine wear and light loss along the raised lettering, with a darkened, oxidized patina to the central medallion consistent with real age. The reverse carries a square-mounted stud fastener, an unusual departure from the round disc mounts seen on similar Cuban badges, suggesting a slightly different manufacturer or era of production.
