This enameled circular badge reads "REPÚBLICA DE CUBA" arched around the top and "CONTROL DE VUELO" (Flight Control) below, framing the Cuban coat of arms shield and wreath at center — official insignia for personnel of Cuba's civil aviation flight control service. The maroon/burgundy outer ring carries the raised gold lettering, while the shield itself is rendered in the familiar enamel palette of blue, green, and white representing the sunrise, sea, and mountain landscape of the national arms. This is a scarce and specific piece tied directly to Cuban aviation infrastructure rather than a single airline, likely worn by ground or tower personnel responsible for directing air traffic. The reverse carries a knurled circular disc fastener with a stud-post, a mounting style typical of mid-20th century cap or uniform badges. The enamel remains bright and largely undamaged, with only light wear consistent with genuine period use.
