This enamel pin depicts the American and Cuban flags crossed and waving together, a classic "friendship" style pin design used to symbolize goodwill between the two nations. The American flag's stars and stripes are rendered in red, white, and blue enamel on the left, crossing beneath the Cuban flag's blue and white stripes and single-star red triangle on the right, both flags meeting at a small gold-tone knot at center top. The gold-tone metal shows an aged, darkened patina on the reverse with the enamel colors on the front still bright and largely unworn. The reverse carries a simple stud-post fastener typical of lapel pin construction. A nice small piece of U.S.-Cuba relations memorabilia, likely produced to commemorate a period of diplomatic or cultural exchange between the two countries.
