This piece renders Cuba's national coat of arms in fully sculpted relief — the shield showing the sunrise-over-key motif at top, coastal landscape with clouds, diagonal striped field, and a royal palm rising from mountains in the lower panel — capped by the Phrygian liberty cap on its pole and flanked by a full laurel and oak wreath tied at the base. The design is nearly identical in composition to the enameled coat-of-arms medal, but rendered here purely in cast silver-toned metal without color, giving it a more sculptural, military-badge character. The reverse shows a mounting stud rather than a horizontal pin, suggesting this was intended for a cap, hat, or uniform device rather than a lapel pin. The metal has a deep, even dark patina throughout, with all of the shield's fine detail — the palm fronds, mountain shading, and wreath leaves — still crisply defined despite the oxidation
Measures approximately 2.25" x 2"
