This is a grouping of three Cuban military medals mounted on ribbon bars, commemorating service tied to the events of September 4, 1933 — the date of the Sergeants' Revolt that reshaped the Cuban military and government that year. Medals referencing "4 Sept. 1933" with the clasp "Libertad" are documented as Cuban Navy service medals from the Republic era (1902–1959), and this grouping appears to be a personal set combining that commemorative medal with two companion decorations. The first bar, topped by a winged sunburst device, carries the word "LIBERTAD" (liberty) and suspends a gilt medallion with crossed rifles, an anchor, and other martial emblems with the word "CUBA" at the bottom. The second bar reads "EXPERTO" (expert) and suspends a heavily patina-d silver-toned shield medal depicting a machine gun emplacement — likely a marksmanship or weapons-proficiency award. The third bar, flanked by crossed rifles, reads "DISTINGUIDO" (distinguished) and suspends a gilt five-pointed star medal. The reverse of the group shows the "4 SEPT. 1933" medallion in more detail, a wreathed roundel with a star at top, along with visible aging, oxidation, and toning consistent with genuine period use across all three pieces.
