This small gold-tone pin distills American Airlines' eagle-and-"AA" emblem down to service-award scale, with the eagle rising in flight between two block letter A's, wings raised and finely detailed down to individual feathers. Pins of this style were issued by American Airlines to mark employee years of service, worn as a lapel pin or tie tack. The reverse carries a simple stud-post fastener, consistent with tie-tack/lapel construction rather than a wing-back pin, and the gold finish shows light wear with a faint crosshatched texture to the back plate.
