This badge steps up the rank hierarchy with "ASS'T MANAGER" spelled out in gold toned lettering on its blue enamel banner, marking supervisory or administrative rank rather than a trade or crew title. It carries the familiar eagle-and-block-letter "AA" emblem, the eagle rising between the two capital A's atop full-span wings. What sets this example apart is the reverse, which is clearly marked "STERLING", a meaningful step up in material and likely reflective of the badge's higher rank. The finish has darkened to an attractive antique bronze-black patina typical of aged sterling, and the pin-back closure is intact and functional. A nice, verifiable-metal addition for anyone building a rank-graded run of American Airlines wing badges.
