This cast metal desk model reproduces a turbofan jet engine in Lufthansa's livery, with the airline's crane logo etched into the front cowling. It measures about 7½" long and roughly 3½" tall on its stand. The engine has a brushed aluminum finish, with a black spinner cone and finely detailed fan blades visible through the intake, and a black-tipped nose cone at the rear. Three raised bands mark the engine's casing sections. It rests on two small posts atop a two-tier wooden base with a mahogany-toned top and a darker striped border, sized to match the model's length. The metal shows light handling wear and scattered fine scratches, with the crane logo still crisp and legible. The base has a couple of small surface marks on the top panel but no chips or losses to the edges. Jet engine desk models like this were often given as airline promotional or retirement pieces, and the clean Lufthansa branding makes it a nice display piece alongside airline wings and insignia from the same era.
