This 1:48 die cast metal model of the F-4 Phantom made by Collection Armour is modeled after the legendary US Navy "Black Bunny" jet, art style 98042. Showcasing the striking black paint job with "3783 VX-4 NAVY" on the body and the iconic namesake Playboy bunny on the tail, this model will have you anxiously awaiting a shadow speeding past in the night sky. Still in the original box, the aircraft is in excellent condition. The box shows signs of wear associated with storage. The plane measures approximately 14.5" nose to tail and 9.5" wing to wing.
According to Navy lore, the "Black Bunny" first appeared on the F-4 Phantom used by the Navy's Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Four (VX-4) in 1969 during night testing. This team tested fighter aircraft and weapons. The Current "Black Bunny," named "Vandy 1," is an L-38 that flies at airshows in North America with the Warrier Flight team
