This NASA Space Shuttle Orbiter Atlantis (OV-104) with Solid Rocket Boosters, made by Dragon Models Ltd. is an accurate1/400 scale model of a premiere collection. Still in the original packaging, this model of a historical part of spacecraft is ready to assemble. Box shows signs of wear associated with storage and measures approximately 7.50" x 7.25". Includes a stand sealed in the original packaging.
This collector's model of the NASA Space Shuttle Orbiter Atlantis is an ode to a legend of space travel. Named after an historical vessel of discovery and exploration - a research ship - the space shuttle lived up to it's name. By the time NASA retired Atlantis in 2011, it had flown 33 missions in a 26 year career including satellite deployments, interplanetary spacecraft deployments, supporting scientific observatories like Hubble, crew rotations, resupply, and assembling and maintaining the ISS. Atlantis is the fourth operational and second to last space shuttle built by NASA.
