Cray Bros. Gas Engine Co. stationary gas engine, rated 1¾ horsepower, serial no. 11831, manufactured in Cleveland, Ohio. Brass tag displays patent dates ranging from 1900–1907. Mounted on a heavy wood skid with four-wheel steel transport cart. Features dual cast iron flywheels, open crank design, and original-style fuel tank. Faint original “Cray Bros.” lettering remains visible on the tank.
Engine is equipped with igniter assembly, governor linkage, and fuel system components. Includes a 12-volt battery and a set of test leads for ignition hookup. Also fitted with a cylindrical muffler/exhaust component mounted along the skid.
Shows an as-found surface with age-appropriate patina and light surface rust. Water hopper appears solid with no visible cracks. Wiring present; overall completeness appears good. Operational condition unknow
