A distinguished pair of genuine World War II-era U.S. Army Air Forces Senior Pilot wings in sterling silver, each bearing a confirmed American maker's mark and representing two of the most respected insignia manufacturers that supplied the wartime military. Both badges display the standard Senior Pilot wings format: swept wings flanking a heraldic shield with vertical ribbing surmounted by a single five-pointed star — the star being the distinguishing device of the Senior Pilot rating, awarded to experienced USAAF aviators who had accumulated substantial command flight time above the basic pilot qualification. The larger badge is stamped "STERLING / KREW" on the reverse shield — Krew of Attleboro, Massachusetts was among the select New England jewelry firms contracted to produce official sterling silver military wings during the Second World War, and their examples are consistently sought after by collectors. The reverse shows two screw-post prong fittings. The smaller badge is stamped "AMICO / STERLING" — Amico was another respected American military insignia manufacturer of the WWII period — with a full-width straight pin-and-roller clasp on the reverse. 7. The purchaser agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and costs incurred by the auction company in the collection of funds. The purchaser also agrees that a fee of 2% per month is added to the balance of any unpaid balance due the auction company and any other costs or losses incurred by the purchaser's failure to adhere to these terms. Any debt collection or dispute proceedings will be heard in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
8. The auctioneer has the sole discretion to advance the bidding and may reject a nominal advance, should it in his estimation prove injurious to the auction. The auctioneer shall be the final judge in all bidding disputes and shall name a bidder as the purchaser.
9. The auction company shall not be held responsible for any 'missed' bids or bids unseen by the auctioneer. Bid Retractions ARE NOT ALLOWED! Bid ONLY on items you wish to purchase!

No charge back or refund will be allowed! Items not removed by the time listed for pick up MAY be charged a fee ($25 'Local Pickup' / $5 Small Items) to be placed in storage. For any placed in storage, a $10 per day storage fee will be charged. All storage fees must be paid prior to pick up or shipping. Any item not picked up or shipping arraignments made by the buyer within 30 days of auction will be forfeited and sold or donated.
