1970 Farmall 826 Hydro Diesel Row Crop Golden Demonstrator

The Farmall 826 is a versatile mid-size farm tractor produced from 1969–1971. It’s powered by an IH 358 delivering around 85 PTO horsepower in the hydro models. This 826 features a hydro transmission, 540/1000-RPM PTO, solid hydraulics, and was available in row-crop and standard versions. It’s well regarded for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and suitability for a wide range of farm jobs.  

This Farmall 826 Golden Demonstrator is a rare opportunity to own one of IH’s most sought-after classics, restored to a high standard and ready to impress. The size of the 826 is a perfect fit for shows, collections, or light farm work.  It’s easy to haul, but still has the “big muscle” feel.  This tractor features a sharp, automotive-quality paint finish, straight sheet metal, and brand-new tires all around for a bold, show-ready stance. It runs, drives, and operates exactly as it should—an eye-catching Golden Demonstrator that stands out wherever it goes. 

This tractor was originally sold in Michigan. Max Favourite discovered it on a dealer lot in Michigan and purchased it while it was still unknown to the dealership that it was a Golden Demonstrator. Max rebuilt the engine along with a few other repairs and installed a narrow front end with chrome grill insert and 34" rear tires. Max showed it at many shows with his other Golden Demonstrator tractors in his semi trailer museum and later brought it to Florida with him when he retired. When the Van Wyhes purchased in 2018 they changed it back to a wide front end and 38" rear tires. The hoods and sheet metal were repainted by Josh Olson in 2018 with chrome and/or stainless steel bolts throughout sheet metal, wheels, and fenders. 

Tractor has headlights, rear work light, 3 point hitch, 540-1000 PTO, one remote, fenders, power steering, and one set of split rear wheel weights. High quality, detailed restoration. Front tire size 10.00-16, rear tire size 18.4-38. All tires are brand new.
