1970 Farmall 826 Diesel Row Crop Golden Demonstrator

The Farmall 826 is a versatile mid-size farm tractor produced from 1969–1971. It’s powered by an IH 358 diesel engine delivering around 90 PTO horsepower in the gear drive models. This  826 features a gear transmission with Torque Amplifier, 540/1000-RPM PTO, solid hydraulics, and was available in row-crop and standard versions. It’s well regarded for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and suitability for a wide range of farm jobs. 

This Farmall 826 is a standout example, restored to a high standard and ready to be enjoyed. 826’s were known for their reliable performance and efficient power.  The 826 is capable of handling a wide variety of farm and utility tasks. This tractor was rebuilt before being purchased and then professionally restored with automotive-quality paint and careful attention to detail throughout. With straight sheet metal, and a clean, detailed restoration, this 826 makes an excellent show tractor, collector piece, or light-use farm machine. 

This tractor was originally found in Union, West Virginia by Beau Miller.  The machine had a cab on it and the hood piece inside of the cab still had gold paint. Beau Miller from Thompson Station, Tennessee had the tractor rebuilt. The Van Wyhes purchased it from him in 2017 and later had it restored by Josh Olson in 2018 with chrome and/or stainless steel bolts throughout sheet metal, wheels, and fenders.  

 The tractor runs, drives, and operates as it should. Tractor is equipped with a drawbar, three point system, two hydraulic remotes, 540/1000 PTO with proper shield, chrome grille insert, chrome throttle and shift levers, lights, fenders, steps, front weight bracket, set of rear split wheel weights, and new seat cushions. High quality, detailed restoration. Rear tires are 18.4-38 Firestones and front tires are 10.00-16 Firestones. Tires are in excellent condition.
