1961 International Harvester Scout - Classic American 4x4 VIN: FC1548 This rare piece of American automotive history is waiting for its next adventure. The 1961 International Harvester Scout represents the first generation of one of America's pioneering SUVs, predating even the Bronco and Blazer. Featuring its distinctive red interior paired with a classic white hard top, this Scout maintains its rugged, utilitarian charm that made these vehicles legendary. The Scout was International Harvester's answer to the Jeep - built tough, simple to maintain, and designed to go anywhere. Interior Amenities: The cabin showcases the Scout's purposeful design with its straightforward red interior. The first-generation Scout interiors were known for their practical approach - featuring simple gauge clusters with essential instrumentation, a floor-mounted shifter, and durable vinyl seating designed to withstand the elements. The removable white hard top provides versatility for all-season driving, allowing this Scout to transform from enclosed transport to open-air adventure vehicle with relative ease. This particular example hasn't been driven in over 2 years and is now ready for a new caretaker. Auction company attempted to start and drive -- No brakes; Started by using fuel in the carburetor; fuel lines need drained as black tar leaked. Vehicle cannot be driven
